When I was a teenager it was my Weirauch HW97K air rifle.
When I started shooting regular firearms, it was my S&W Model 41 although my HiPower was a firm favorite too.
After the UK banned pretty much all handguns in 1997, my new favorite was my Benelli M1 Super 90.
After getting my green card in the US I really loved my next real handgun - a Glock 35 Gen 4.
Since then my collection has grown and my current favorites are my CZ SP-01 Shadows, Shadow 2, Atlas Nemesis, DWX Compact and my first long range rifle, a Daniel Defense Delta 5 Pro.
Truth be known, there haven’t been many guns I didn’t like.
My favorite is one that doesn’t get much use, but an M1 Garand that I built down at the CMP Custom Shop in 2017. I won the lottery to take the M1 Advanced Maintenance Course down in Anniston, flew down and spent thousands to build an Expert Grade M1 Garand. All parts were chosen by me for their fitment rather than historical accuracy, barreled it, chambered it, and gave it what I think is a pretty nice trigger job. Got to test fire it, and later take it out to 600 yards at Talladega Marksmanship Park across town.
All and all, I spent about $3500 on a rifle that anyone can buy for ~$1100 between cost of class and travel, but at the end of the day it’s the one gun I actually built rather than just assembling from parts.
When I was younger, my RWS .177 pellet rifle, and an old Remington Targetmaster that my Dad gave me.
When I was old enough to actually buy firearms, my Ruger Mark 1.
Lately I’ve been spending a lot of time with my Kimber Micro 9.
For general .22 plinking with a long gun, it’s a tossup between my Henry Frontier and my Ruger 10/22. For handgun plinking I bought a .22 conversion kit for my Beretta M9 and it’s way more fun than it has any right to be.
I like them all but there’s a special place in my range bag for my Ruger GP100 in 357.
You can shoot everything from very mild 38 Special wadcutters up to blistering powerful 357 Magnum. I’ve taken several newbies to the range with it and the all loved it.
Plus there is just something extra cool about revolvers!
My favorite firearm changes all the time. Currently, it’s the 6mm ARC I put together last year from a Howa mini action. It still needs a new trigger and bottom metal to get it just the way I want it.
My first handgun is a H&K P7 PSP that my wife bought for me. It was purchased from her Uncle who inherited an estate from a friend. The friend was deployed in Germany with the military and purchased it. He then brought it back to the US and rarely if really ever shot it. Her uncle sold it to us at the original sale price which is obviously well below what it is worth. Definitely my most prized firearm and the best part it has no import marks. It’s also in my profile picture.
I’d say my favorite is a Kimber Team Match Ultra. 1911 platform in .45 ACP. Best iron sights of any handgun I’ve fired, great trigger, feeds anything reliably, and groups about 2" at 25 yards.
My favorite is a toss up between my AUG and my .300BLK AR pistol.
I love the compactness of both. And shooting suppressed makes me giggle every time I pull the trigger.
The .300 BLK AR pistol is hearing safe, while the AUG is not.
My favorite firearm at the moment is a tie between my FNX -45 tac and HK VP9sk. The FNX is a badass 45 and super fun to shoot. It’s my night stand gun. For the VP9SK recently acquired it and it just work super accurate and just a pleasure to shoot . Next pickup is a mod mat SBF will let everyone know if it becomes the new king
