The DE case wasnât in the merits. It hasnât gone through the process. The scope of the case was the grounds and standards for a PI. The lower court had denied the PI claiming a restricting a 2A right was not irreparable harm. While I disagree with that BS logic, scotus almost never gets involved in interlocutory appeals or PIâs.
The real cases for AWB and Mag ban are Snopes and Ocean State Tactical. Both have been relisted so there is still a strong hope scotus will hear one or both of them.
Dang, hope itâs this (2025) term. I was holding out hope that the AWB and Magazine bans might get undone while Murphy was still in office.
I get wanting a nice FU to FPM but OTOH, if somehow NJ manages to elect a conservative then the chances of a legislative response to a positive ruling next SCOTUS term should go down dramatically.
I hope so too. We have 1-17 and 1-24. After that it is next term.

The SCOTUS Judges have sat down and discussed (conference) both cases 3 times and have yet to decide whether to take one, both or neither. They will discuss again on Friday. They have not rejected the cases yet either.
Their discussions are secret so we donât really know what they are thinking. Cases are frequently relisted for conference multiple times and sometimes they are accepted and sometimes they are not.
It takes 4 Judges to vote to take a case. It is sometimes better not to take a case if the 4 judges are not sure if they have a 5th judge on board to carry a favorable decision.
Sometimes there is a delay in rejecting a case because one of the judges wants to write a dissent to the rejection.
Basically, until something happens, we donât know what is going to happen.

Fully agreed. Armed Scholar was good until he had to opine on everything. Thatâs when I found 4 Boxes Diner. Now heâs opining on everything and much is speculation. I much prefer when he gives insight to things that have actually happened.
Agree. Hate to see it. More âcreatorsâ bowing to YouTubeâs monetization algorithms instead of keeping focused on meaningful content. I get it, there is a ton of money involved, but sucks to see.
