Here’s a 1944 1911a1 manufactured by Remington Rand in 1944. This pistol does not have any arsenal rebuild marks but reflects the part-sharing reality of these pistols during squad or platoon cleanings. This one has a post war replacement barrel with well defined lands and grooves and post war grips. It is in great shape for being 80 years old showing great patina. There are scratches by the rear sight when a soldier appears to have hit the sight to adjust it. It includes one 7 round mag and a military issue holster.
