If you want to argue a 2A case.argue a 2A case.
More likely to get a ruling from SCOTUS on reciprocity.
Try running the Histories by Herodotus through Congress and see what happens.
I think the best case argument is to look at the 29 constitutional carry states, and compare their crime stats against the states with tough 2A laws. It would show that MORE laws donât make the state safer.
So, I believe it supports the argument that if you went through the process to get a CCW from any state, you should get reciprocity with all the others, just like driverâs licenses.
Nursing licenses IIRC are state specific, but they can get a âmultiâ state license, i dont beleive it covers all states either. Similair to most medical licenses which have state specifc board exams. Same with lawyers, CPAâs etcâŠ
Yet, no one has a right to those professions like we expect the right to carry.
The medical board is exam is a national exam, but each state sets up its own licensing scheme. A bunch of states have entered into a compact where they agree to accept a license from any other state in the compact.
Theres reciprocity for teachers too, but not a lot.
States like to feel like they have control over the populace. They dont benefit in any way by federalizing basic profession standards. People can freely relocate, and they loose all that money and power over redacting licenses.
I also would rather have National constitutional carry, although I do have some reservations about federal v. state rights. However, we all know the main thing is that the right to bear arms doesnât come from the federal or state government.
Well, a bill has been introduced in the Senate. May or may not go anywhere, and if it should pass, would no doubt need to survive multiple court challenges. If nothing else, this should be a good indicator of who the remaining RINOs are in Congress who should face primary challenges.
GOP senators introduce bill to expand gun ownersâ concealed carry privileges outside of home states
ANYTHING that John Cornyn has his name attached to, I am suspicious ofâŠ
Heâs no friend to the 2A.
The problem here is that telling me I canât vote in say Nebraska really wonât motivate anyone to sue anyone else.
Additionally, voting is not a right. Elections are mandatory, but how an election is conducted is up to the state holding the election. We currently have election processes that look superficially similar, but thereâs a lot more variation to the details than we think, and even more than that is permitted from a constitutional perspective.
That would equate to having a poll tax. Those have been illegal for years.
I think he was proposing a hypothetical, just to show the Blue states how hypocritical the are.
Yes, hypothetical
I agree. Fyi. Ill be doing. ccw classes in sc for sc. Maryland and nj. Come join me there
BREAKING: Rep. Thomas Massie introduces the National Constitutional Carry Act.
Today, I introduced HR 645, the National Constitutional Carry Act.
âNo one should have to beg the government to exercise a constitutionally protected right anywhere in the country.â
When you think about it, it is absurd that your constitutional rights end or begin at the border of each state.
Rep. Hudson to Newsmax: Concealed Carry Reciprocity âCommon Senseâ
âWhen I drive from my home in North Carolina to D.C., I donât have to stop at the Virginia state line and take a new driverâs test and get a Virginia driverâs license,â Hudson said on âCarl Higbie FRONTLINEâ
âThey recognize that North Carolina license. And so itâs just common sense that when it comes to your Second Amendment right, your right to conceal carry, that every state ought to recognize that concealed carry permission coming from a different state.â
âLast time Donald Trump came to office, we were able to get this bill out of the House of Representatives, but, unfortunately, I couldnât even get a hearing in the U.S. Senate,â Hudson said. "I think things are different now.

The time to strike is now. With the current trifecta AND a constitutional majority on SCOTUS, there is no excuse to not get this done.
Iâve said the very same thing for years.
Marriage licenses, drivers licenses, etc, all are recognized by other states. Why not our CCW?!
This needs to be combined with something blue state senators desperately want like an increase in the SALT deduction.
Blue states have been crying for a bigger deduction since it was capped and their constituency will blow a gasket if they vote down saving them money.
Are you certain about that? Seems to me that if most of the voters were paying any kind of rational attention to issues in those states, they wouldnât be blue in the first place.
