You mean you don’t already have enough ammo in your stock to last you the rest of your life?
9mm up $2 a box overnight. Selection is dwindling.
If you bought new 9mm cases, primers and powder today you probably wouldn’t save any money vs buying new
Do you factor in the labor cost for baking a tray of brownies or a birthday cake?
How about the labor cost of building drones or RC airplanes? I guess I should stop saving money by changing my own motor oil and filters because I can’t afford myself.
I dunno, what does it cost to sit on my ass and clean a few hundred primer pockets or chamfer case mouths while I watch the news.
OH MY GOD!!! What is my reloading stuff costing me per square foot in my house. CRAP! I’m bleeding money saving all this money reloading. @Sniper you are so smart man. I’m gonna throw away all ths reloading shit and reclaim my valuable space. I’ll go right out to the store and buy case of ammo and then use the freed up space to store it.
There are only a finite number of hours in the day. People choose how they want to spend their hours. I’m sorry that your excitement in life, comes from sitting in front of the news, cleaning old casings.
I’d rather be playing with my dog, visiting with friends, or planning the next fun RV trip, and going on it… but that’s just me..
I sure do, LOL!!
Scorpio64, before you toss the stuff could you please give me your address and garbage pick up days?
Don’t toss it all, sell it and buy a camper.
Friday, target sports had over 99 cases of republic 124gr 9mm in stock, Sunday morning, gone. The panic has started.
A Coming Ammo Crunch?
You’ve all been hearing the rumors, but where there’s smoke is there fire? I’ve had several reach out over the past week about ammo shortages starting to manifest on the supplier side. Since we’re in kinda a unique position as an ammo wholesaler I can shed some light on what’s happening.
There’s other elements to this as well. Earlier this year Palmetto State announced AAC’s ammo production would become limited due to a powder shortage. This is largely reflective of the ammo industry operating at capacity as is with demand largely exceeding capacity. A war, and a potentially brewing larger one, strains that further.
So in short there’s absolutely a coming ammo shortage the effects of which haven’t hit the consumer side just yet, for how long who knows. But I do know we anticipated the problem and made moves before hand to keep prices on our side stable.
Pistol ammo stock is dwindling, SGammo still has a decent selection, TSUSA is pretty much down to defensive rounds across all calibers.. Many other suppliers out there, grab it if you need it.
I also read that Lake City Ammo shut down for a few days, to do a safety review. Not sure how that’s going to affect supply, and when they’ll restart?
Hmmmm, maybe I should consider selling some of what I have… ![]()
I went on sunday about to order a case….found nothing below $350 case lol only speer lawmen
A year from now 9mm FMJ will be $800 a case.
Idea, Maybe invest in ammo instead of stocks.
Buy now, maybe sell later, might try to justify that to the wife.
How about investing in defense stocks? Best of both worlds.
My defense stocks have just about doubled in the past year.
SGAmmo bumped some 9mm prices up. Didn’t look at any other calibers.
I agree so have mine, but I remember during covid you couldn’t find ammo, see the same happening hopefully not as bad.
Already see some shortages and prices being bumped even before the April price increase.
Pricing going up every other day now. The panic is here.
Will this be another “dot”??
Lake City Ammunitions on strike
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A local union is on strike after a vote rejecting a company management standard.
The Local 778 chapter of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Union’s strike began Saturday morning at midnight, the union announced in a news release. The union says around 1,350 workers will take part in the strike.
According to the union, the decision comes as the company’s offer to union members was deemed unfair on the standards of wages, mandatory overtime and work-life balance. This will impact workers at Olin Winchester’s Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, which produces small arms ammunition for the United States military and its allies.
