I had both of them when I was a kid. Wish I still had them.
I remember that and it was a long time ago..
The first toy gun I recall having was this. It was an exceedingly cool toy. Go big or go home!
I had the Man from Uncle P-38 set!
When u pull the trigger, it made a disk in the drum mag spin for that rata-tat-tat sound and it had a red tip on the muzzle that shot sparks. It lasted about three days before it broke because you had to pull the trigger hard to get it to spark.
Anyway, I thought it was cool because I liked WW2 stuff. But, considering it was given to me by my Sicilian grandfather, he was prolly had Al Capone in mind.
Can you even buy caps anymore? We had the rolls, and then some self stick green ones.
I remember cap guns and some type of disc throwing space pistol.
Also, another pistol that shot yellow bb’s. Mother would find them all over the apartment. ![]()
First for me was a Disney Kentucky long gun that shot a cork. I carried that bad boy all day long walking around Disney, man I was so proud.
Amazing we all survived with these dangerous toys, another favorite was the rocket you put water in and pumped it up with air and released it, shot 100 feet in the air.
Any one remember a rocket that you mixed baking soda and vinegar in then jammed the base on it placed it upright on the ground and the gas pressure would launch the rocket?
I lived in a 3 story apartment and it landed on the roof. It occasionally went off prematurely. It was fun dangerous and made a mess.
