When is enough, enough?

I bought the Rolex as an investment. So far it has gone way up in value since I bought it.

Speedmaster, sapphire sandwich on its way.

I’m Fukin done I just buy ammo when it’s on sale. I think Santa is bringing some 300 BO 110gr V max

How many handguns should a normal person have?

About five.

That sounds like a gun enthusiast to me.

No, a gun enthusiast has fifteen.

That sounds like someone who is obsessed with guns.

No, people obsessed with guns have hundreds.

That sounds like a psycho.

No, psychos usually can’t own guns, or perhaps they might have one or two.

That sounds like a normal person, though.

No, a normal person has five, we already covered that.

I think 5 is probably a good number :+1:

5 1911s, 5 revolvers, 5 striker fired, 5 double stack hammer fired, 5 .22 target

I pretty much just buy ammo now. I have enough pistols to keep me busy for a while. The thing I don’t have is a decent 308. I have a Mossburg Scout but the accuracy is not great at distance. Not sure yet if I want to go Bolt or AR platform

I bought this about a month ago and love it !! (might do a repaint someday, 'murica all the way! but the paint is a bit cheesy)
You can’t beat this deal, even has free shipping ! What is not listed is that the barrel is a carbon wrapped bull barrel.

I did put a much better scope on it, although the one with it isn’t horrible

Thanks for the link. That is a really good deal. I saw some reviews on this rifle. All positive. I have a lot of 308 but, I was looking at 6.5C as a possible alternativešŸ¤”

 Just learned recently that the 308 and 6.5 users have different opinions.

What about those of us that have both?

Do like I did, get both! I have one like Sudsy in a similar but more adjustable chassis. I never shot it!

I also have a new AR-10 that shoots like a dream! My 9 year old grandson loves that rifle even with my hot side reloads!

Just noticed this! You have 2 guns never shot or zeroed? I have at least 20 like that!

 To be honest, I never looked into any 6.5 variants until recently. 308 was always the choice.

Something I learned from someone who also collects motorcycles. The perfect number to have is your current collection plus on more. I’ve taken that as my personal motto.

Or, as they say in the prepping world…

One is none, Two is one, and Three is where you need to be… in every caliber!

About 2 years ago I bought myself a 20ā€ NEMO XO Steel in 308. Softest shooting 308 I own.

Oh yeah I remember hearing that when getting started. So I took that challenge and bought the Cannon 80 super wide thinking it would take forever fill. Nope dam thing was filled no time lol joke was on my wallet at that time.

I’m kind of with ya. Not that I don’t get an occasional itch for something new, but for the most part I’m content with what I have. I’ve even sold off several of my guns, mostly shotguns, for which I have a particular fondness. I also decided quite awhile ago not to add new calibers.

Probably sounds kind of boring to most of you, but I’m one of the older guys on here, and while I plan to stick around fo awhile, I’m at the point where I am planning for the day (far in the future, I hope), when I’m no longer around.
