What's your favorite .380?

Anyone out there have something in .380 they enjoy shooting?

I told myself that I wasn’t going to get into any other calibers but then I picked up the Bodyguard 2.0 comp a little over a month ago. I wasn’t impressed the first 2 boxes I shot (I was horrible with it) but 500 rounds later I figured out my grip and I’m enjoying it much more than I originally anticipated.

Now I’m considering to get something else in this caliber. I’ve shot a few other .380s and was never really a fan mainly as they didn’t have great sights or some other ergonomic shortcoming.

So what’s your favorite?

Browning 1911-380 Black Medallion Pro. A lightweight mini 1911.

Just ordered the m&p bodyguard 2.0 looking forward to shooting it, have the browning 1911-380 also and an m&p ez, once you become accustomed to the smaller pistols they are a pleasure to shoot, I wouldn’t say I prefer one over the other, the EZ I shoot better, it has better sights and is a bit larger than the browning, but man is the browning fun to shoot.

Mark, I still owe you a trip up north for a range day, maybe we make it a .380 day.

Love shooting my PPK.

Bersa .thunder with extended mag.

I have a g42 but it’s for carry not general shooting. The one thing I have found as i get older I enjoy the lighter calibers. I was a .45acp revolver guy for many years but a recent purchase of a S&W 432 .32hr makes me want to downsize my big bores.

Nice! Comp or not?

I suppose with being able to carry I was looking for more options. This seemed like a good pocket carry possibility and I am a sucker for the aesthetics, it’s a cool little pistol. I already have a S&W 2.0 and a Shield and I kept eyeballing this thing every trip to the range, finally caved.

This is definitely a consideration. Anything you dislike about it? I watched a couple videos about it last night and one gripe is the plastic guide rod. My latest Beretta 92 came with a plastic guide rod so I don’t know if that’s such a big deal.

I can’t really say anything bad about the gun. It’s just plain fun to shoot. I haven’t had any issues with Blazer Brass or Magtech 95 gr. There is someone on E-Bay selling stainless steel guide rods, thinking about ordering one.

4.25" or compact? I don’t really think I need a rail. I see this comes in a bunch of configurations.

I have the 4.25” with 3 dot combat sights. I painted the front sight dot; There is a model with night sights.

I’m about to jump on the BG2 wagon. I told myself the same thing about getting a different caliber pistol, but I’ve heard to many good things and I’ve been wanting to pocket carry.

Another good option is a Beretta 84 Cheetah… like a little mini M9. And Mec-Gar makes 10 round magazines that should be quite reliable.

I have a Walther PPK/S. Beautiful gun and a good shooter in 380 ACP. I also have a Ruger LCP Max. A small gun and I find it hard to shoot, but it is small.
