I recently saw that the legislatures of Arizona and Utah have each declared an official state firearm for their respective states. For AZ it’s the Colt Single Action Army, and for Utah it’s the 1911. And that got me to thinking, what should be NJ’s official state firearm? In the unlikely event that the legislature were to declare an official state firearm for NJ, what should it be and why?
Ill bet it has a pin and welded device on the barrel.

one you can’t possess legally
Maybe a cap gun, but I’m sure they are regulated somehow.

It would be something slow and useless as others have implied. Probably something lame like a muzzle loader but even worse than the ones they use for hunting, one of the 5ft long ones with no rifling.
I vote for whatever one is used to put an end to (insert answer here).
