NSSF lawsuit:

Smyth county won’t enforce either:

After careful review of the legislation and existing Supreme Court precedent, I find the assault weapon ban signed by the Governor on May 15, 2026 unconstitutional – and as a result, unenforceable. The United States Supreme Court has repeatedly held that the Second Amendment protects firearms commonly owned by law abiding citizens.

As Commonwealth’s Attorney, I took an oath to uphold both the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of Virginia. That oath requires more than mechanical enforcement of statutes. I must exercise prosecutorial discretion, constitutional judgment, and fidelity to the rule of law. As such, my office will not support criminal charges resulting solely from technical violations of the unconstitutional assault weapon ban.

VCDL has filed for (filed for, has not been adjudicated yet) a Temporary Restraining Order and Preliminary Injunction:

NSSF files for injunction:

It’s like the 2A Iron Dome is kicking in. Injunctions are interceptors.

VAAG is apparently ordering VA State Police to directly disregard this court order:

Sounds like the court has a problem
who will force the AG to enforce the court order?

And what are the consequences to the AG for willfully disobeying the court?

This isn’t over by a long shot, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

What would our fore fathers do, I’m pretty sure Tar and feather would be on the menu.

These scumbag politicians should be tried for Treason

Good. They should have their poop pushed in for violating court orders.

Maybe someone will shoot his children in front of him, just as he suggested that same fate to his election opponent in his recent run for state AG.

FAFO dude.

Legal battles on all fronts breaking out:

Cole said if prosecutors don’t enforce the law, lawmakers could look at their options.

“I think one of the things we really do need to take seriously is if these constitutional officers are not willing to enforce the law, what type of legislation can we introduce to hold them accountable for not doing their job,” Cole said.

I’m thinking, the militia doesn’t have muskets now, they have AR15s
 so there’s that

Van Cleave says the VCDL and Gun Owners of America will be filing a motion to hold the Virginia State Police in contempt of court today, and I’m curious to see if the judge will act on that motion before issuing a decision on the Attorney General’s request to lift the injunction. The state is pretty clearly defying the court order by resuming background checks on private transfers, and I hope that the judge will respond accordingly.

Now a total of 13 Virginia Commonwealth’s Attorneys say Gov. Spanberger’s new gun laws are unconstitutional and can’t be enforced, including the top prosecutors in Page County, Shenandoah County and Warren County.

Per AI, Virginia has 95 counties:

The state of Virginia has 95 counties.

In addition, Virginia also has 38 independent cities, which are separate from counties and function as county-equivalents.
