Upin. Unique personal identification number. I applied for one at shotshow. Via atf nics. I just got it. My nics on a normal time would take approximately 3 days. This is going back years. I got my original fpid in 1988 when i turned 18. So the upin is like tsa pre check Its a pre back ground check. Since my j6 episode we went to a week. The agents at nics /atf were very helpful. Ill let you know how it goes. Im gonna buy a lower at swat firearms in hammontown just to try it out. It was easy cause they had the electronic fingerprint machine there. And i followed up up on last Thursday to make shore everything was kosher. Got my upin number today. Lets see

I’ve run NICS on a few people that had their UPIN with results that varied from delayed a few hours to instead approval. Isn’t NJ NICS still days behind anyway? Good luck.
