The tires on my snoblower are pretty aggressive but they slip in the wet slushy stuff. Wondering if tire chains will be much of an improvement.
Never even knew there were tire chains for snowblowers. I might have to pick a pair up.
I use them in work, they help.
What about letting a little air out of the tires
They do that on their own, lol. The tires have inner tubes but don’t hold air, however, they are firm enough to operate unpressurized. With or without air, they are the same shape.
On an asphalt driveway fine, but I wouldn’t use chains on pavers. I’d be afraid they’d scrape the hell out of them and then when everything is melted and dried and the scrapes all jump out at you, the wife would kill me dead.
Is your blower posi traction, I pulled the pin on one of the wheel hubs so it’s easier to turn. I have no problem with the wheels slipping.
I put chains on my snowblower. HUGE improvement. And, no, they don’t chew up the pavement, at least on the pavement with snow on it. When moving the snowblower on unpaved surfaces, like when putting it away in the garage, they ‘can’ scrape the pavement if you slide the blower sideways at all. But when just rolling foward, especially when the wheels aren’t under power, they roll fine, without scraping. Tire chains are very common on snowblowers, in-fact most manufacturers offer them as a factory option when buying the blower new, at least mine (Toro) did. And they are cheap.
