I’m not knocking cops here, but this study shows what is commonly known amongst the trainers I know that train cops. The police that come out of the academy are not the “highly trained professionals” that they are claimed to be. A lot of them take the time to practice and become proficient and I know a few of those too. However, there will always be some that dread qualification time because they know they need luck and a following wind to make it through to the next 6 months of carrying a gun hoping that they never have to use it.
