Heat index values of 101 don’t get noticed in TX?

Is it a dry heat?

NJ is swampy hot.

That’s relatively normal here.

(crossing central TX off of ā€œmove toā€ states)

We get ā€˜swampy hot’ here too. Especially the last few weeks when we’ve had a lot of rain.

Central Texas isn’t nearly as bad in that regard as Houston, they are hot and humid pretty much all of June-Sept.

But ready for it!

I absolutely hate using air conditioning. IDK what it is about it, but the noise, the direct cold air, drying out the air etc. I’ve had mine on all day and lately while driving. I must be getting old. Or, happy wife mean happy something blah blah blah…

AT 3PM…

I know last night teaching Jiu Jitsu it with the air conditioning pumping and the giant ceiling fans on the temperature kept creeping higher and higher.. it was in the 80’s and climbing!!! Today is going to be even worse!

It’s no joke. I left work yesterday and discovered a brake was dragging. Got home, tried to investigate/resolve. Didn’t go too well for me. Didn’t help being on asphalt, in the direct sun and no breeze. Some shade and a good wind could have helped. So hot the floor jack started to sink into driveway.

This was run by the people who are supposed to be smart enough to educate the kids.

LOL just went to the gym at lunch I died 4x home to truck , truck to gym, gym to truck, truck to home.. I’m sitting in my frigid ass basement working and still sweating lol

Did you notice the part about two events. So people needed medical attention at the first event and they still held the second.

Yep. You can’t make this stuff up.

We obviously need to ban ā€œassault heatā€. For the children, of course.
