I’ve been wanting a H&R 603 ( M16A1 Semi Auto ) Clone for years. I’ll check out Tactical Concepts in Whiting in the next two weeks about ordering one.
I’m probably in the minority but to begin with, I just want standard (and real high) capacity mags and adjustable stocks. It will be glorious when I don’t have to stop every ten rounds, which is typically just as I get into a groove with my AR-22. I’ll get some 30 rounders and possibly a drum. I still expect to spend a few to several hundred dollars right away. No need for new magazines for the guns I rarely shoot anymore, but that still leaves me with a minimum of three platforms in need of new mags.
I’m with you for the most part. Just want to be able to adjust my stocks and choose my own muzzle devices.
That said, I’ve been holding off jumping on the 2011 train since a single stack 1911 is already 10 rounds, has cheaper magazines, and fits my hands better. When this finally happens, a 2011 platform will make sense in NJ.
Needless to say, that’s where my research is taking me these days ![]()
There’s also no hold open on the last shot with those either. So if you’re planning to run it in any competition, like one of Old Bridge’s rimfire leagues, you’ll have to account for that as well. That’s why I ended up buying a dedicated gun.
