Shadow Systems Reliability?

I’ve been eyeing a Shadow Systems CR920XP, but I am not super familiar with this company. Searching them online results in more complaint threads than anything. Premature parts breakages, tolerance stacking issues, QC issues and guns that don’t get any better after the manufacturers recommended break in period. Some of the threads are a bit older and the newer threads seem to be a 50/50 positive to negative. I know people are more likely to run on a forum to complain than anything.

So does anyone have experience with this brand or specific pistol? Something to avoid, or people overreacting?

If you’re looking for a Glock clone, take a look at the new Ruger RXM. It has some changes that make it much more modern than a straight clone.

The RXM looks cool, but that is getting back to a G19 size. I am looking for something G48 sized, preferably compensated. The CR920XP checks those boxes. I have a P365, so not looking for a Macro, plus I heard their comp isn’t as good.

Hey… not exactly the same but I have a MR920 that is g19 g3 clone. I really like it, but I over paid for it. It’s a good gun, not great. It’s been reliable but I don’t shoot it well, so its a house gun now.

So no issues during the break in? Do you remember what year you bought it if you don’t mind me asking?

I bought it 2yrs ago. I had one maybe two issues ftf. They were pmag related, use Glock mags.

Good to hear. Really on the fence with this one.
