Does an AR kit, in parts, not assembled, have to go through a FFL?
The only part that needs to go through the FFL is the lower receiver and that can be stripped.
The lower receiver does, rest of the parts do not.
It’s a totally broke down kit in parts. Nothing assembled. Still a FFL?
Is there a lower receiver? The lower receiver, only, must transfer to you via an FFL.
Do to our icehoie AG a lot of venders won’t even ship parts to Nj anymore
When I am down in Myrtle beach, twice I stopped in PSA to browse with my neighbor, first trip, I asked to see an over under, sales guy grabbed it off the rack handed it to me, price was right, asked if he could sell it to a NJ license, his eyes enraged, grabbed the shotgun and pushed a card he had hanging off his neck in my face, explaining, see this, this tells me who I can’t sell to, literally had the card 4 inches in front of me, tried asking if a shotgun was included, he wouldn’t even entertain a conversation with me. Neighbor was applaud, we walked out.
Second trip was during this 4th of July, neighbor was looking for ammo and wanted to check out a Walther PDP, we had a few items in our hands to buy, neighbor went to the counter asked for a PDP, guy hands it to him, I turn to look down the display case, next thing I know here comes my neighbor mumbling, I wouldn’t spend a penny in this place , asked what happened in 30 seconds? Said the guy was so rude I placed the pistol on the counter and said, I do not need to see it and walked away. We both placed the gear we were going to buy on a shelf and walked out.
Both true stories, I will never walk back in there in the future. Reread the first story, that will tell you what they think of NJ.
Sorry you had that experience.
I had a much better experience shopping in-person at PSA. I didn’t disclose I was from NJ though.
Just order online for the parts. The gun laws for NJ and NY are so foreign to the free states. They just don’t want to try and figure it out. Online division prob are trained to know the does and don’ts better. I’ve ordered plenty online from PSA, both FFL items and non FFL items direct to home.
Sorry you had a bad experience with them.
Honestly, I don’t really blame them, as they have been sued by the state of NJ over firearm and part sales.
in fairness to you, he didn’t need to be an ass to you.
For all the sales guy knew, you were a trap.
Twice, and my neighbor is a good ole boy, no doubt where he is from, treated him just as rude. But, that was my experience, if I needed PSA I would buy from them, luckily I don’t.
25 minute drive from PSA into Conway is a LGS called The Gun Store (yup), very nice, large inventory, have purchased twice, a shotgun and a lever from them, couldn’t be more helpful.
