Pennsylvania carry permit

Yup, picking it up tomorrow. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

looking into getting mine, which department in PA did you go through?

We go to the Pocono’s twice a year.

Usually spend a day in Jim Thorpe so I went through the Carbon county sheriff department.

Most PA Sheriffs do not issue non resident permits. I got mine from the Delaware County Sheriff in Media PA. $25 and good for 5 years!

Pike County will issue also and you can apply and get approved online and schedule a pick up day and time when they will take your photo and you walk out with your permit.

Just did pike online, thank you just waiting to hear back now

Their usual response time is 24 hours.

Approval/denial in 24 hours? Or just a response that they’re starting on my information?

24 hrs

Approval, my wife filled out the online application on a Sunday evening and received approval late afternoon Monday.

Check this map for the closest county sheriff’s department near you and go to their website to see if the do an online application for non-residents if you, already have your NJ carry permit. Much easier to show up one time to take a photo and pick up your permit.

I did mine in Bucks county. Approved in 24 hours, but I also have my NJ CCW.

I have my nj as well got about an hour.5 drive out to pike when mine gets approved. Does anyone know if they’re open on saturdays?

Monday through Friday only. After you get your approval you go into a portal and select the time you want to pick it up. The appointments were about 2 weeks out when my wife made hers but we wanted a Friday or a Monday.

Sounds good, a nice excuse to take a day off of work. Thank you for all the info!

I did as well, and we pay 250 for a digital piece of paper they actually give you a card like we have to pay NJ Liberty cards for all for $25. LOL. NJ SUCKS SOOOOO FN BAD!!! Should just move over there

Interesting how the Sheriff’s department processes all CCW permitting. No local or State police involvement. No pistol permits or FID card, standard cap mags and HP’s..Just need id and a back ground check.:ok_hand:
