Outdoor range in north NJ?

Where are there any outdoor ranges in north NJ that are open to the public?

Only on in all of NJ that I know of where you don’t need a Hunting Permit or join an NRA club is Range 14 down at Fort Dix. Otherwise I’m afraid you’ll be driving to PA.

Thank you. I thought I heard of a range somewhere in the Blairstown area.

Drive an extra 15-20 minutes or so and join EBSA in PA. $35 a year outdoor range. https://www.ebsportsmansa.org/

Thank you. Less than an hour. Will join this summer. Do you shoot there? Very crowded?

I have been a member for the last 5 years but did not renew this year because my cousin made a shooting range on his property in Great Meadows. Everytime I go at least one of the ranges is completely vacant. So I’ll show up and there may be people at the pistol range, so I’ll shoot on the rifle range. Once they leave I move to the pistol range. Their range membership is Oct-Sept so join now to get the most of it.

So is there a range in Great Meadow?

Not a public one.

ANJRPC has a range in Cherry Ridge. You need to be a member, but becoming a member is easy and to your advantage as an NJ gun owner.

Thank you Mr, Stu. ANJRPC looks very interesting and is about 45 minutes from my home.

The State has both shotgun and rifle ranges in Clinton…

Do they have a shotgun clays range?

We currently have a 100 yard rifle range with 3 covered benches, a 25 yard pistol range covered with a roof and a field for throwing clay pigeons.

It seems so but it’s BYO trap. Same as the WMAs here

If you’re asking about East Bangor, yes they do off to the right when you pull into the parking lot.

Not really on topic, but this incredible public facility is about 40 minutes from our place in Florida. Sure wish we had something like this in NJ.

I’m also about a 45 minute drive and it was the first range I’ve joined. It’s very convenient to stop by and there is always an open bench. Everyone I have met has been nice as well
