Production starts Sept of this year so probabky out next summer. Hopefully they do a good job with it.

Been a while since there’s been a good post apocalyptic movie. I.hope it’s good!
I may actually go to a movie theater for the first time since before Covid. I think “Rise of Skywalker” was last movie I paid to see in a movie theater?? That was released Dec 2019.
“Principal photography” finished in December. No idea how long it takes to add alltje computer magic.
Maybe this will be out around May?? Memorial Day maybe??

Figure six months to a year plus for post depending on VFX workload and budget. This looks like a mid budget to low budget so might not have as much or pay enough to bump it. Unless hollywood has wised up and it’s filling screens along side the summer crop of blockbusters, pessimistically it’s getting buried in the back to school window or as February filler. Optimistically it’s filling screens alongside Thanksgiving or Christmas tentpoles. Middle ground they let it cook a bit and it opens up the season with a march 2027 release. For perspective, Civil War had about 1000 VFX shots and that took about 2 years from the start of principle photography to festival release.
