Good show. I’ll be there on Saturday.
Never been to one. Are there real deals to be had? The website says to bring cash but do most merchants these days also take credit cards? Can good ammo deals be found too? You guys buy the collectible stuff or new? Lots of used guns too? Do NJ residents have to have their handgun/rifle purchases shipped to a NJ FFL? Thanks in advance!
Cash is king for a better deal, CC are accepted but 3% is tacked on. Picked up my Rossi 92 and a Mossberg 590 at this show, best price I was able to find, handguns must be shipped to an FFL, rifles and shotguns are cash and carry. Ammo is hit and miss, last show I went to they had 9mm cases for $199. The show to go to is the last show before Christmas and Sunday IMHO is the better day, vendors would rather make $20 bucks than pack it up again, but on Sunday you run the risk of your item being sold out. If you haven’t been to one, it’s worth a day of walking around, plan on 3 hours or more depending on how much you window shop.
Redeye pretty much summed it up. Think Cabelas but 5 times bigger. Thousands of new ans collectable firearms. Tons of ammo too.
Fun show. Very little semi-auto rifles this trip that were NJ compliant. Lot’s of good deals on ammo. Saw some 9mm for $210.00 a case of a 1000. Lots of nice rifles and tons of any handgun you could think of. Bought some powder and primers and of course beef jerky!
How were the prices
The new normal I guess. Best price on 1k of primer was $75.00. Best price on pistol powder was Accurate #2 & #5 for 40 bucks a pound. Rifle powders were at 50 bucks a pound.
Did u happen to see Hi Skor 700x and/or Clays? I’m gonna be needing some powder for trap loads soon. May have enough to ride out until after Trump gets elected and prices deflate like last time.
I did not. I was only looking for pistol powder.
Next big show December 20-22.
