NRA Announces Major Reorganization - 10/30/2025

Some good stuff there, but I really hate to see American Rifleman’s publication schedule go from monthly to quarterly. I’d have thought it pulled in enough advertising revenue to pay for 12 issues a year.

I hope they fix their digital publications. I tried them and was less than impressed. They were horrible and difficult to use especially on a mobile device which is where a digital publication should shine.

I’m still very leery of contributing anything to NRA.

I’ve been reading this blog for a long time:

Long term reading of that blog reveals that another BIG issue with the NRA under WLP’s leadership was the attachment to the Ackerman-McQueen (A-M) law firm that allowed that firm to siphon off millions upon millions of dollars from the NRA.

From what I can tell, half to 2/3rds of NRA revenue in recent years ended up getting tossed into the A-M monster. It appears the NRA still has open litigation with A-M so I’m afraid that they’ll continue to be a drain on the NRA until it’s all settled. I can’t consider sending any funds to the NRA until I’m confident that they’ve both reformed with entirely new leadership - - - AND - - - entirely settled and divorced from A-M.

A good start
