Nor Easter

Looks like we ended up with about 5 inches of rain, overall. It’s finally moved out… got really tired getting soaked each time I had the pup out…

Also looks like the beach took a pounding in some areas…

AC Beach is GONE.

Yikes that’s a lot of sand!

I was in Dallas from Thursday-sunday, and talking to my wife who was here, she was breaking it down for me and I was checking Instagram video’s. I hope everyone is ok, I just got a damp storage area (window well fills up with water on big storms).

Ocean City had just finished a ~2 month sand pumping project from the inlet S to about 12th St. The timing left something to be desired, judging from the beach cams I have access to, about 80% of that is now on its merry way to Wildwood :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: Hey, barrier islands roll (simplification) from East to West. You can throw as much sand as you can afford on the ocean beaches, and over the long haul, it changes very little, but I guess it does pacify the voters for the next municipal election…

I hadn’t been back to NJ in over two years, but had to come back this past weekend for a wedding. Great time to leave the perfect early fall weather of N. Idaho. But we did get off easy, relative to the coastal areas. We were mostly in Morris County, and the wedding was in Sussex, neither of which suffered too much. The Friday afternoon wedding was even able to be held outdoors, as planned.
Hope the rest of you came through it OK.
