With a SBI # and DOB you can verify the status of an electronically-issued PTC.
I don’t think early post-Bruen Superior Court-processed PTC’s will be in this database.

I can confirm this. Before I got my renewed PTC through the electronic system, this verification page couldn’t find my court issued one.
I just checked mine and it says pending
And is that the correct status?
Yes
My town processes any gun permits at a glacial pace. Worse than some of the inner cities.
Mine doesnt come up. Is it supposed to show already issued permits?
Yes, but not court-issued ones.
Mine issued 2/6 has status “active” now, but I’m pretty sure that it did not come up at all shortly after it was issued. Maybe there is some kind of system delay between “pending” and “active”?
Mine says no match found and was issued post the court ordered permit era.
Mine still does not show up. I have an active permit now issued 3/23/2025
So does mine. The old forums used to have a thread on the time it took to get purchase permits. Does the new NJGF have something similar for CC?
I applied online on 6/28 and the last reference was submitted on July 13. It is now August 5.
Is this length of time normal?
Carman, You are within 30 days. They technically have up to 90 days to issue though some towns go past that. It really depends on how pro 2A your PD is!
OK, it’s been nearly 5 weeks since my last reference submitted his info. The portal says my application is “pending.” The officer in charge is incommunicado. In the old days Newton (Sussex County) used to issue purchase permits in 7-10 days. We had problems with two of my references receiving their email notifications, so I’ve been checking my spam folder every day.
Nada.
Is there a way to escalate this without pissing someone off?
Can’t guarantee the “no pissing someone off”, but does it really matter? ANJRPC strike force may be able to assist:
Thanks. I emailed them with my sob story. I believe my PD’s attitude regarding firearms has taken a southward turn.
