To the Members of NJFOS,
We are writing to share that Mark Cheeseman has decided to step down as President of NJFOS, effective 6/15/2026.
On behalf of the Board, we want to thank him for his service and the time and energy he devoted to this organization. We are grateful for his contributions, and we wish him well in the days ahead.
After careful deliberation, the Board concluded that a change in leadership was necessary to best serve the organization and its mission. We do not take a decision of this kind lightly, and we are committed to leading NJFOS forward with stability and focus.
We want to reassure every member that NJFOS remains on solid footing. Our mission is unchanged, our finances are sound, and our day-to-day operations will continue without interruption. The Board has reorganized as follows:
President: Jay Factor
Executive Vice President: Joseph LoPorto
Treasurer: Jason Kleinman
Secretary: Matthew BartkyWe also want you to know that the important work we have underway continues with full momentum. We are actively pursuing multiple legal matters central to our mission, with additional action anticipated, and the Board remains fully committed to seeing these efforts through. Our organization is as strong and as focused as it has ever been.
