Didn’t the district court strike down the NJ’s $50 fee as unconstitutional? If they did why was I forced to pay it in order to renew my permit?
The 3rd Circuit reversed the panel decision when they took the case en banc.
I really hate this fucking state. One of my references uses yahoo mail. Yahoo blocked because the sender is unauthenticated. Yahoo requires this sender to authenticate with DKIM. SPF alone is not sufficient. I got that from my optonline email server but not until after I submitted the renewal. I assume the NJ server is the same.
Now I have more hoops to jump through
UPDATE:
Much to my surprise NJ resent the email with DKIM authentication. It went to my final reference about 4 hours after the first 3 got their emails. I’m beyond shocked that NJ has someone monitor the reference email system to look for blocked emails. Perhaps it’s an algorithm? Either way why not just fix the system so it works correctly the first time?

Well quite surprised but permit was issued in 10 days. They also dated it two years from the expiration of my current permit which was nice. Way to go Denville PD.
I thought setting the expiration date two years out from the current expiration date was SOP now, no matter when you applied?
After you have your first permit issued through the online system, and you renew before your current permit expires, the new permit runs for 2 years consecutive to your current permit. The system knows what date was on your old permit.
Where people lost time was when renewing a court issued permit. NJSP didn’t bother to allow you to enter when your court issued permit expired so they just issued your new permit as if you had never had one before.
