I needed to renew my ccw permit for pa Ididnt know what to do. I called york cty pa to ask. She was snippy with me. But kind. They’re getting soo many calls.

Do you mean your PA permit was expiring so you needed to renew it, or that you had renewed your NJ permit which has to be valid for your PA permit to still be valid?

Nj ltc expired. If you have a pa ltc and your nj ltc expires. And you are a nj resident. You have to send a new copy of your nj ltc.

No you don’t. You just need to be able to show your current NJ permit at the same time if you ever need to show your PA permit.

+1. I spoke with the Delco sheriff’s office specifically about this and they said to bring your updated permit in when you renew PA. You do not need to do it when your NJ permit is renewed.

York cty explicitly told us that when you renew your nj ltc they need a copy of the new one. Maybe different counties handle it different ways

I concur with G, York wants a scanned copy of your NJ renewal so as to keep PA permit valid. Had to email Hamilton @ York

AFAIK it’s a Pennsylvania STATE permit administered through the counties, so there must be a single standard for the notification requirement. Of course that doesn’t mean that the individual counties a. know or b. care. I’m skeptical that the State of PA is notified in any way when your NJ permit expires, much less the county, OTOH, if the PA county you went through wants the updated NJ permit, it is probably not worth the risk (small as it seems to be) to ignore it, even if they might be making stuff up.

I have a PA permit issued in Pike County. In the paperwork it said if my NJ permit expires I must relinquish my Pa permit.
No mention of notifying or presenting my permit if renewed.
