NJ Anti-2A Docket 2024-2025

Here is what NJ is teeing up for 24-25.

From News2A.com

On October 19, a variety of bills relating to firearms were added to the NJ Assembly register. These were all preliminary entries with no summaries or bill texts, so we must do some deductive reasoning to figure out what is going on here.

Some identified bills:

A4976 - Establishes crime of reckless discharge of firearm.

  1. a. A person commits a crime of the third degree by recklessly discharging a firearm unlawfully or without a lawful purpose within a hundred yards of:
    (1) an occupied structure; or10
    (2) a school, college, university or other educational institution,11
school bus, or child care facility, whether or not occupied.

A4977 - Requires public safety risk assessment to include additional consideration for firearms as public safety risk.

A4980 - Prohibits sale of ammunition by vending machine. (eye roll…)

A4981 - Permits court to take additional time to consider pretrial release or pretrial detention when firearm offense is involved.

They never quit do they?

Cancer almost never goes away on its own.

Their lawyers don’t cost them anything. We pay taxes so our own government can litigate against us with the money.
