Natchez shooting supply

I purchased a case of # 8 shot from Natchez last month, I go to buy another one and the header above my cart says Shipping to NJ is suspended. I call them up and ask what’s going on and the Cs rep says we no longer ship to NJ because of your attorney general .

Ah crap, I’ve bought from them before. Good prices and fast shipping.
I hate this state

It’s a bummer but I totally understand not wanting to deal with NJ AG’s lawfare.

Thankfully TSUSA still ships here.

Well that sucks. They were one of my go to places.

So much for their staunch support for 2A, f’ing hypocrites.

They in in my top 3, pickings are getting slim!

That’s a bummer. I used to use Natchez quite often but have switched over to Target Sports USA and have been very happy with them.

So all an AG has to do is say Boo! and some “pro 2A” companies run and hide eventhough it’s perfectly legal to ship?

I believe it’s a business decision. Potential revenue vs. risk of legal fees.

Unfortunately as long as NJOAG continues to see results they like from legal saber rattling they’ll continue to do it.

This country desperately needs torte reform
Loser pays !!

There’s a downside to loser pays - it can have a chilling effect when there is a huge disparity between the financial resources of the parties.

I probably wouldn’t try suing my bank for their error that cost me $5,000 if I have the risk of having to pay $50k of their lawyer fees.

I agree with that, there need to be detailed rules.
As a person (company) who has been legally extorted (half the cost to pay em off than to go to court and win guaranteed win) I can vouch for the fact that our system as it is now needs to be fixed.

Over a year later and Natchez still not shipping to NJ. I bought a lot from them in the past. Guess those days are gone. Now everyone who will ship wants your FID, which I don’t really care to have floating out there, but I don’t know of anyone who’s shipping to PRNJ without it.

My FID has my SSN on it. I am not sending that to some rando just to have ammo shipped. That is how identities get stolen. My SSN, by law, is supposed to only identify me for employment and SS benefits. Any other demand for use is abuse.

They will ship powder primer and anything other then actual ammo. sad… will only be worse this term. Id happily send my FID if they would ship but the risk isnt worth the reward for them i suppose.

Why?

He wrote it in crayon?

Do you mean SSN or SBI number?

I meant exactly what I typed. My FID is original recipe yellow cardstock issued in the 90s. I am not sending that to some retailer just to buy ammo.

I guess identify theft was less of an issue back then. I got my first yellow FPIC in 2012 and there was no SSN on it. The electronic one that they issued with my last set of pistol permits also has no SSN on it.
