This happened 1 block up from my old house.
We moved back to Texas 3.5 years ago…
Apparently the school district has a lot of violence, and behavior issues. Lockdowns. Shelter in place, threats…my old neighbor is pulling her kids out of school and sending them to private school because of this.
What was once a nice, sleepy little town is going to shit.
Yes Albainian. He’ll be out tomorrow on bond…then they will lessen the charges in a plea bargain. Probably get 6 months probation and a 100 dollar fine.
I’m sure you remember when I visited you to buy the upper. I still remember the cool R/C aircraft you had! It was a very nice neighborhood as I recall. Such a shame! 1ltcap has the same issues down his way. I’m glad you got out in time!
I Live in a Rural ass area in SNJ where we can shoot on our private property (assuming you have the land for it), etc.
Town has something like 15-1600 homes in its entirety.
They approved a proposal to build 900 55+ and duplex units, of course some units being affordable (~100 or so) housing, in town… And that’s just a SINGLE development across 3 different properties in town.
In another 10 years, my town will be unrecognizable. I’m just hoping when it goes to hell, property values will have increased enough for me to cash out and move. That said, the concern is where to?
PA? Doesn’t seem like they’re doing much better.
When I moved to my town of Manalapan in central Jersey, it was mostly farmland, 15,000 residents. In the last 25 years we’ve gone to 50,000 and it’s become a zoo.
I always said I’d never live north of the Raritan river (Middlesex, Essex, Hudson…) just too crowded! I didn’t expect it all to move here.
At that time Monmouth County was ranked #3 on the Best Places To Live in the USA by Money Magazine - and I totally agreed with that.
Brooklyn / Staten Island came pouring down and we haven’t even been on the list in ten years.
A lot of New Yorkers pulled a Snake Pliskin during the pandemic. Quite a few rental properties that I used to mow got sold because the owners were getting offers too good to refuse.
the actual stop happened up by the storage yard behind lowes…..where ups keeps some of their trailers.
that said…….this guy was coming to me for dui interlocks up till a little before the great panic of 2020. he was off…….and every time he pulled in, i thought “terrorist”, but he gave no really outward signs when he was there. his tahoe was a pos though.
my town is so much farther down the pooper than tex’s old town that it should serve as a warning…..but all of our little once-peaceful/nice/quaint towns are being infected by transplants from the shities. they bring their crime and retarded voting habits with them.
