Mr Dracula

Anybody got SIG p229 converted? I bought mine mine 12 years ago with 22 LR slider. And I got offer I couldn’t miss: 40S&W slider for 15% discount price. So, I bought it. And I got 1 pistol in 2 calibers, just change mags and slider… Happy with that! Then, probably 2 years later I started to think/research about another conversion: 40S&W to 9mm. Much cheaper for training/exercising. Many cons was found online, but I decided to take risks and ordered 9mm conversion barrel for P229 from Barsto company. Saying honestly, it took around 6 months to wait and it worth every penny I spent. Barrel fitted perfectly and I had to make test fire securing pistol in vise and pulling trigger by long rope from the distance… Multiple test fires was made from different factory ammo with different bullets type/weight with no hiccups/jams/missfire including my own reloads. So, to make this essay shorter want to say I was happy with money/efforts I spent. Almost forgot, NOTNING was changed in slider: springs, extractor or mags etc. 40S&W mags designed to fit both 357SIG and 40S&W calibers, and now it holds 9MM also. Between 2500/3000 rnds was made since that conversion and I NEVER faced any missfires, jams or FTF/extracts. Since that, P229 is my major training pistol: flexible and reliable by any means. Just one small difference in shell extractions: 40S&W shells extracts 5-7ft away on the right side, but 9MM 2-3 ft…

I just came here to say I saw the thread title and immediately thought of this:

Oh, and congrats on your shape-shifting Sig.

I got the 22 conversion for my p229

Works good

Now it’s time add 9mm barrel!
3 in 1 sounds better than 2 in 1.

I’m a fan of .22 conversions they are fun. I have one for Sig 220, Beretta 92 and the CMMG AR 5.56 to .22. I don’t have any 3 in 1 setups. You have something unique there as it seems Sig stopped making pistols in .40 cal.
