it’s kind of obvious, why do those citizens based on previous employment get extra rights then ordinary citizens for example a carpenter? they are not entitled to anymore higher level rights then any other citizens, amend the law to read all non prohibited citizens the same rights.
I saw something recently that they are taking another look at national reciprocity, but it will never pass the filibuster. There actually is an argument to be made, I think, under the equal protection clause (against LEOSA). But I imagine that’s not something that’s on the radar of most pro 2A groups. They are generally in the business of advocating for restoration or expansion of rights to everyone as opposed to taking them away from certain classes of people.
