New FBI Director Kash Patel Will Also be Named Acting Head of the ATF
*The news comes days after Attorney General Pam Bondi fired the ATF’s top lawyer. Bondi said in a Fox News interview Friday that she fired chief counsel Pamela Hicks because the agency was “targeting gun owners.” *
Gun safety groups have raised alarm about putting Patel in charge of the FBI, with gun control group Brady calling him a “known gun rights extremist.” Gun Owners of America, a gun rights group, called his confirmation as FBI director “a major victory for gun owners and constitutional rights advocates nationwide."
Tried searching his 2A stance, very little out there. What I did find is Brady and Guifford are rabidly opposed to him, so… At the very least we can say it’s not a bad thing.
Same with me, I have no idea where he stands. In all his interviews, I don’t remember him giving us his position on the 2A, and all the crazy ATF rules.
“Utter Despair”: Liberals Panic Over ‘Politicized’ FBI After Bongino Appointment

Rolling Stone (of pedo coverup fame), framed Bongino’s appointment with the “bad cops” tag, which is followed by an unhinged screed.
WASHINGTON (AP) — New FBI Director Kash Patel was sworn in Monday as acting chief of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, taking the helm of two separate and sprawling Justice Department agencies, according to a person familiar with the matter.
Patel was sworn in at ATF headquarters just days after he became director of the FBI, said the person who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter. …

When asked about the investigative potential of Patel and Bongino, Napolitano offered strong praise for their adherence to constitutional principles.
“They are respectful of the First Amendment, the Second Amendment, and the Fourth Amendment — free speech, the right to bear arms and privacy,” he said. “We haven’t had that in the FBI… not in your lifetime or mine.”
