Hey Jack
Hi Jack! Good to see you here.
Thank you & Happy Holidays!
Nice to be back on a local forum - this one should be better then the last
Hello Andy - Always nice to see you on a forum - Happy Holidays!
Until we get this figured out - For Sale Guns will be in the General For Sale section of the forum - FYI
I was originally thinking you could just list them here in this thread but then thought that would be too cluttered. Probably best to keep all sale items in the same place on this site. If we move that may change (or we can keep it this way if we think this works best.)
My personal preference would have all for sale items in the same place. If I am an infrequent visitor and I just go look in the Marketplace for what’s for sale I would miss listings under your FFL page. I think this was my experience on the old site and probably missed your listings there.
Excellent point, and my thoughts as well. I started putting a few For Sale ads in the Marketplace; would be nice to have a “Signature Line” wit hquick contact info for the reader(s) - jmo
Users can click on your avatar/profile for that info?
True, but many people don’t know that, especially, new members.
Signature lines are also a way of self expression
Give me a month and let’s see if we stay with Discourse or move to InvisionCommunity. If we stay on Discourse there is this plugin for signatures I can add:
Howdy Jack. BTW, this Saturday will be my last day selling retail. Contact me after the 1st of the year for special dealer pricing on the remaining accessories if interested.
Where is your shop located in Lacey?
I am a Home based (Stocking) FFL near Lacey high school
Really?
What’s going on in AZ.?
Paul had a really nice shop! I actually visited with him there. His shop was at the beginning of a strip of stores and unfortunately, especially in the summer, the Sun, off the dessert, beat down on one side of his shop. I would not want to have to pay his electric bill for the A/C there!
I wish him the best of luck in his retirement. I also retired a couple of weeks ago when I was told my position was eliminated! Kind of a shock at first but then I realized is was a good thing, as I don’t need the money and I enjoy sleeping in! Nice to not have any boss to answer to!
Congratulations!! and welcome to the party…
Remember, in retirement, you wake up with nothing to do, and by the time you go to bed, you only got half of it done!!
Also, in retirement, either every day is a weekend… or every day is a workday… Lately, it seems like the second one is correct… LOL…
Thanks! Still getting used to it, but so far, I’m liking it!
Jack is a great guy to deal with.
