American dad faces 15 years in Jamaica jail for ammo—State Department responds

I dont fly or travel especially to third world shitholes but this is why I switched from black range bags to light colored ones such as tan. I have caught myself with mags and lucy’s squeezed into a fold of a backpack that I never saw.
quick fix for this is for trump to order a travel ban to jamaica or from same, problem will be fixed.

Heard a great tip from Gun For Hire several years ago, been following it ever since:

There are bags/cases for range/firearm use, there are bags/cases for travel/vacation use and there is ZERO crossover between the 2 uses.

Friend of my wife has a relative that was basically extorted by the Indian government for $40K when they found an empty .22 case in his luggage.
Indian jail isn’t very nice, and he spend a decent amount of time in one.

IMHO Americans have to be out of their friggin minds to travel outside the country at this point in history

Victimhood waits around every corner, especially for the stupid or careless traveler.

Probably a good thing you’re not going this summer, there’s hardly any water left in many rivers in central Europe right now.

As others have mentioned, use separate dedicated bags for shooting and travel.

We were in Israel early to late January, then Egypt early February. while we didn’t have any issues, you could tell tensions were rising over there.
