Ammo - $4701.29

In similar categories:

Guns & gun parts: $13,352.86 (e.g. sights, grips, mags, etc.)
Other shooting equipment: $2667.30 (durable items e.g. rifle case, chronograph, etc.)
Consumables: $1089.49 (e.g. cleaning supplies, lube, targets, etc.)
Range/Organization memberships: $757.50 (includes some of the payments for GOA life membership)
Match fees: $330.00 (I work a lot of the matches so the entry fee is waived)
Hotel for multiday matches: $765.65

Total: $23664.09

This sport can get a little expensive, I guess. The gun expenditure was quite a bit higher this year due to getting a couple of DD rifles and putting glass on them.

WOW  not only expensive but addictive

My tastes seem to be getting more and more expensive too.

A couple of years ago I was able to snag an Atlas Gunworks 2011 on the old forum for a good price. I love shooting it and use it in most of the USPSA matches I shoot. When travelling 6+ hours to a match, it is a good idea to take a spare so I’m spending another $1600 tomorrow for a used Bul Armory 2011 in .40 to fill that role before I head over to Pittsburgh for Area 8 next week.

Good luck in Pittsburgh

Still shooting ammo from the salad days.

It’s hard to tell, for me I typically try to keep a large pool of ammo in the calibers I shoot most, and buy cases to replace what I’ve shot once prices get low.

This typically lets me ride out the panic buying prices.

I have to get into reloading soon. Prices of .308 and 7.62 are getting to be a bit much lol

Damn! But I think I’m up there with you.

However, in the last year, I’ve only spent $3,478 in ammo. Most of that has been 9mm/.40 for IDPA/USPSA competition and a bunch of 6.5 Creedmoor for long range training.

I try an buy 5.56 and 9MM monthly, I hate lonely ammo cans  I feel guilty when they’re all alone.. Need to stock up on my 12g shells as well

After seeing the responses, I don’t feel so bad

I would have to go with 5-7k on firearms, and 2-4K on ammo.
That changes from year to year,I’m pretty set on my stash of ammo, and just replace what I shoot.
