I wonder how they get it so cheap with everyone already racing to the bottom in price. Half expecting to see the BCG is made of cardboard
Unlike PSA, Hi Point is actually a gun manufacturer, the same as Ruger or Smith and Wesson. PSA is more like a gun assembler, or system integrator. HP is probably cutting costs making their own barrels, BCGs and finishing OEM sourced receivers.. They have been making the planet of the apes carbine for decades.
I have no interest in buying one because I don’t need one. But I am interests in finding out how well they are made when the reviews come in.

Hi Point is a manufacturer too, but much smaller.
Just checked gun.deals and Anderson’s AM-15 complete rifles start around 350 so I guess it’s not unprecedented
