Happy July 4, 2026 – Independence Day – 250 Years of Freedom!

Hey fellow NJ gun owners! Today is a day to celebrate our right to bear arms — the cornerstone of our nation’s freedom. 250 years ago, we stood on the brink of independence, and that same spirit of freedom lives on in our communities today. Whether you’re shooting rifles or handguns at the range, or if you’re lucky enough just shooting off your porch, you’re part of something bigger. We’re not just gun owners—we’re proud Americans who value our Constitution and the right to protect it.

This Independence Day, let’s take a moment to reflect on what it means to be a NJ gun owner. We’re not just protecting our families—we’re protecting our history, our freedom, and our future. So, what do you think? What’s one way you can help keep our rights strong and our communities safe?

Happy 250th Birthday America!

If you want to be an advocate for the RKBA:

At a minimum - Contribute to 1 or more pro-RKBA orgs, we’ve got a list of them in this post:

One org that’s missing from that list (I’ll get it added) that I especially like in NJ is the “Second Amendment For Everyone (2A4E) Diversity Shoot” run by Tony Simon:

IMO, getting people who are curious/interested in firearms out to a range and giving them a relaxed, attentive and safe introduction to shooting is the maximally effective thing you can do to promote the RKBA.

I have a kind of rep in my family/friends circle of being the “not so koo-koo gun guy”. I think I’ve taken about 10 friends-of-friends, relatives, friends-of-kids out for their first ever shooting trips. Never had a negative experience and have heard several times “It’s totally not what I had been led to believe”.

Each one of those people at a minimum will start to question the anti-gun narrative that is constantly broadcast.
