Why would you say it is a wonderful pocket carry if you aren’t accurate with it? It sounds like it would make a better paperweight.
That is true but it presents a conundrum. Everyone says “carrying a 22 is better than not carrying anything”. I’d rather carry my lightweight, small LCP Max than not carry at all because of the comfort factor. I also carry a Keltec P32 because it is comfortable to carry.
It might be comfortable to carry, but you will feel way worse than uncomfortable if you ever have to use it and shoot the wrong person.
Please show some personal responsibility and carry something you can use safely without endangering anyone except the bad guy(s).
It would be a far better idea to choose a gun that is not painful to shoot so you will be more inclined to practice with it. Having a carry gun is not a magical talisman that wards off trouble. You have to have the skills to use it effectively and that takes effort and practice.
I may be over critical of my skills. I shoot once a week and scored 100 on my CCW range test.
I agree! I may have put 100 rounds through my 629 in all the years I owned it. I was collecting revolvers (S&W) at the time and had to have one. I didn’t shoot it well because I knew the slap in my palm each time I pulled the trigger was coming. I finally sold it a few years ago. Too bad the guy didn’t want to also buy all the ammo I have for it. Yes, .44 Special was just fine out of it.
