GPA comes to Phillipsburg

This Sunday, 2/22 is the first Phillipsburg Pistol Club GPA (Galactic Pistol Alliance) match.

GPA is a bit of USPSA combined with a bit of IDPA. The rule book is simple and short. The goal is to get the best score you can in the shortest amount of time. You will draw from a holster, shoot multiple targets from multiple locations, shoot on the move and reload - all on the clock.

Anybody that has not taken part in an action pistol match before will be given a safety briefing before the match.

The weather finally cooperated and we held our first GPA match yesterday. It got so warm, I had to roll my sleeves up!

We had 27 shooters show up and shoot and all had a good time.

I’m getting used to my new Staccato HD so not hitting as accurately as I would like, but loving the gun nonetheless.
