Anyone interested in ordering a forum t-shirt that looked something like this:
Printing on both front and back and multiple logo colors jacks the pricing up a bit so it would be somewhere between $25-$30ea.

I would prefer a baseball cap, but not the usual 1 size fits all.
The circumference of my cranium is too big and most hats don’t fit.

I’m lookin at customink.com and everyone would order their own size have it shipped directly to you. We can do it as a ‘group buy’ or ‘fundraiser’. Either way you order your own size.
Depending on how many we are ordering will change the pricing. 50 or more the fundraising pricing seems to work out to be less and the forum gets a couple bucks in return.

Earlier in the year I ordered a batch of patches for supporters so I already owe you a patch for your donation. You can also have as many stickers as you like. I plan to be at the next meetup in Clinton if you want to pick up yours.

I need to get an idea on the total count to figure out what the pricing will be and if we should do a ‘group buy’ or ‘fundraiser.’ Obviously the more that we order the cheaper it will be. I’ll probably order 5 myself. Please comment if you’d be ordering more than one.

If we do a ‘fundraiser’ any proceeds would go towards the next group purchase (hats/coins). For a fundraiser, running the numbers to give an example, the minimum price would be $24ea as $23 does not meet the minimum:
It won’t allow to save and continue unless $24 or more. At $24 we need to order at least 49 shirts to start printing and the forum gets $10:
Raising the price reduces the minimum to print and increases what the forum gets. At $27 need to order 34 or more shirts:
Running a ‘Group Buy’ if we estimate 20 shirts the price is $29ea:
‘Group Buy’ for 34 shirts is $25.60ea:
‘Group Buy’ for 50 shirts is $22.60ea:
Either way the ordering runs for 2-4 weeks. A ‘Group Buy’ we commit to at least X many shirts and they start printing once we reach that # but everyone loses out if more is ordered as far as the pricing goes (example we commit to 35 but order 50, everyone loses on that pricing differential.) If we do as a ‘fundraiser’ the forum would get something in return we can use towards the next swag.
This is not the end all I still need to talk to some local shops and see if we can get a better deal. Either way I still need a good count so comment if ordering more than 1, thanks.
Looking at this a bit more the ‘Group Buy’ is probably the better way to go as it allows for more options and is slightly cheaper per item. If you’d rather a long sleeve shirt or a sweatshirt we can have those as options on the ‘Group Buy’ so let me know what you prefer. I think I may want a sweatshirt for the winter. If you want another option let me know. Here’s the pricing if we can get to 25 items:

I’d order a t-shirt and a sweat shirt HOWEVER - I’d want them in a darker color than white/sand. Do we get the option to choose/modify colors with a group order?
Good question, I’m not sure. I will check on that and 3rd garment type. When I tried to add the long sleeve tshirt all the prices went up but it was late. We may have to limit it to the 2 garment types and take a poll on a color.
What color would you prefer? When I was playing around with things the logo and text did not stand out on too dark of a color or needed to switch the text color to be able to read that but the logo still seemed lost on a dark background.
I don’t want to launch into a “color war”, so if the option emerges to only have one color I’ll go with the flow.
If we DO have a color choice, my first choice would be gray.
A darker color material would be better for tees and hats.
