Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has issued a decision in

Currently this is only in effect in the states covered by the Fifth Circuit (Lousiana, Mississippi, Texas):

Will the ATF appeal to SCOTUS?

Gonna be some busy ass LGSs today.

This is amazing and it makes sense. As per 2a as written. It will take time to go to scotus. But i believe it will happen. 18-20 will be able to buy pistols. I was able to and did when i was 18. Just couldn’t buy new. Long story. Google it.

I assume SCOTUS will have to wait for an enbanc hearing, then a circuit split, then the make up of the SC in 2038 is goingbto be different then now.

Interesting development - the deadline for the US DOJ to file a request for an en banc re-hearing of the 5th circuit appeal court’s earlier ruling passed yesterday without a filing.

There’s still the possibility that DOJ could appeal to SCOTUS - that deadline appears to be 04/30/25.

Is the DOJ going to let this judgement continue to stand un-opposed?
