Per the news article, the DOJ “Second Amendment Rights Section” opens on December 4th
Regarding your list, there is already active litigation on
-
Sensitive Places
-
Magazine Limits
Curious as to what actions that the DOJ “Second Amendment Rights Section” could take that would be more immediate than that litigation?
Not certain if #2 NJ “Duty to Inform” is being challenged currently. Is there a constitutional basis to challenge that?
Can you expand on #4 “criminal charges against ANY LEO who violates any properly credentialed citizens rights”? Aren’t police officers who violate constitutional rights already exposed to the possibility of charges?
Americans should not have to surrender their 4th, 5th and probably more rights in order to exercise their 2nd amendment rights, no other right in the constitution is set up like that . the law clearly forces you to surrender rights in order to exercise a right. I just dont understand why it has not yet been picked up by any of the NJ 2a groups yet or the national groups for any state that has duty to inform law. anyone who has been stopped by a cop and was forced to disclose they were exercising a right has standing. the 2A groups should be compiling a database now to hit the new Gov and AG with their first lawsuit.
- Sensitive Places: I feel this is being fought backwards, every square inch of american soil should not be open to interpretation as a sensitive place. the only place that a govt should be allowed to even consider a sensitive place is one that has ACTIVE armed security with a single entry point . armed security should also not include any DEI guards.
would also like to see the DOJ punish states like NJ as far as NICS goes, 15 minute max 24/7/365 or state loses its POC for nics and goes direct and carry permit negates need for NICS.
purchase permit scheme in nj, enforce timeframe, remove questions that are in clear violation of ADA. if they accuse you of falsifying a question whether intentionally or for something that happened 50 years ago and popped up and denying you, how about the question about belonging to a group or organization that intends to deny other their constitutional rights? Joe Danielson come to mind, how does he own a gun in NJ where he is the poster boy for denying others their rights.
I could go on forever on alot of this stuff

Yeah I remember the days when they picked up the phone and maybe you had to wait around the store for 15 minutes for them to get an answer, not days.
