News broke on Sunday night that the Philadelphia Eagles declined an invitation to the Trump White House following their victory in Super Bowl 59.
The response on X is unanimous— Go f**k yourselves, Eagles.
These idiots don’t want to see the most historic US president in history. Seriously?

Eagles fans are largely low class and uneducated, as demonstrated by their behavior whether the team wins or looses a game. You can always expect a riot after an eagles game. Because the fan base are violent POSs, the team is likely under pressure to not go to the WH.
Wait… I thought nothing says you support your team more, then breaking into a Nike store and stealing dozens of sneakers…

Yet it looks like MAGA put enough pressure on the team, that they say now they will go, if invited…
Despite reports to the contrary, the Super Bowl champions are looking forward to receiving an invitation from The White House.
You all realize this is the circus part of “bread and circuses”, right?
Half true… I think the Eagles were gong to decline again, to try and make Trump and MAGA look bad. Someone, who is in the know, “leaked” that there was going to be some BS about the Eagles attending.
When Trump was in office the first time, the team technically did not decline, they were going to send like ten second stringers, and Trump said, “thanks, but no thanks” and withdrew the invitation.
Anticipating another BS half hearted show of second stringers, a preemptive strike was made to make the Eagles look like the bad guys. After the internet was abuzz with what was essentially rumors, and seeing how the MAGA crowd reacted to this beautifully executed preemptive strike, the Eagles had two choices. Go and make nice with the President of the United States like men, like good sports should, or suffer the wrath of MAGA.

I’m actually a painfully hardcore Jets fan - I only rooted for the Eagles in the playoffs because Eff the Giants !

Exactly what I was thinking. Trump doesn’t forget… and is usually a few steps ahead of everyone else. He preemptively set a trap that the Eagles couldn’t escape, without looking like total idiots.

I grew up a Jets & Cowboys fan since I was a kid (1 team in each league) , but between Jerry Jones, Woody Johnson and then the Kneeling bullshit and how the NFL handled that I kinda swore off Pro Football.
Now I am happy with only college ball; The Irish on Saturday gives me my football fix for the week
