Howdy folks. It’s time for us to get together again and turn some money into noise. Come join us Sunday October 11th at the Clinton WMA shotgun range for a morning of clay busting fun. Also, join us in welcoming Tex back to NJ. Tex swears he’s only back to pick up some pork roll, but he always finds a way to join us at a shoot.
A hunting license is not required to participate.

WHO: You, family, friends.
WHERE: Clinton WMA shotgun range. (look for a white truck flying Old Glory)
WHEN: Sunday October 11th 2026
TIME: 0900 (we will be setting up at 0830)
Please leave a comment below if you plan on attending, and let us know if you will be bringing guests.
Shooting commences at 0900 and keeps going until we get bored, run out of ammo, or hear mom calling us home. Clay shoots usually go until about 1300, leaving plenty of time for you to stop by and join the party at any time.
As always, these shoots are casual gatherings for the NJGF community, just plain old fun to promote shooting sports and get in a bit of practice.
Shooters of all experience levels are welcome. If you have never shot clays, or want some tips on improving your skills, this is your chance to dust off that ol’ shotgun in your closet and get some needed practice.
What you will need.
Bring your shotgun(s), as much #7.5 or #8 lead target/field loads as you want to shoot, and depending on how much you want to shoot, a carton of clay pigeons would be great. Clay targets are available at the Clinton Walmart.
Don’t forget eyes and ears. Also recommended is a chair, sun screen, insect repellent, and something to drink.
If you or your guests do not have a shotgun, and just want to see what clay choot’n is all about, no problem. We have a loaner pump action available.
