Anyone here have any bullpup rifles? I have been curious about these and tempted to try one out. The Keltec RDB seems least expensive, the Tavors are about twice the money , but seem to be more durable and reliable from reviews I have seen. I just want to see anyones experience from here. Any pics would be helpful as well. Thanks!
I have a 1st gen tavor with aftermarket trigger parts.
Love it, but it’s a heavy brute.

Did you do the trigger work? Is the Tavor difficult to work on?
Love my Tavor SAR. If you get a Bullpup I highly recommend taking IWI Academy’s Bullpup Operator Course to learn how to run it as the gun that it is rather than a funky looking AR.
That said, mine’s bone stock with the exception of an X95 trigger pack in there to drop the trigger pull from ~7 lbs. to ~5.5 lbs.

I have a CZ Scorpion 9mm rifle that I turned into a bullpup with their kit. I like having a compact carbine without the longer barrel.

Yes I did the trigger work - new trigger mechanism and trigger transfer bar.
I’d say the Tavor is about as easy to work on as an AR, with the caveat that Tavor is modular - if you’re changing parts on/around a module, not bad. When you have to start changing parts IN a module, it’s more complicated.

As a graduate of IWI’s Tavor Armorer Course, I will say this… the platform is extremely simple to work on, IF you do things in the right order. Doing things out of order, especially with the barrel lock, will cost you money.
That said, they also don’t teach you ANYTHING about disassembling the trigger and replacing the trigger itself, just the trigger pack. I personally haven’t replaced one, because I feel the SAR with an X95 trigger pack is more than adequate.

I’ve got a Kel-Tec RDB Hunter… let’s just say, the safety leaves some to be desired… but if you have a functioning one, it’s not bad..

I have an rdb fun to shoot not as heavy as the tavor. Have shot the tavor a few times. If you can afford it why not but the rdb isn’t bad either
Have you had any reliability issues with the RDB? Any issues with the front end getting really hot? I saw that in a couple videos.
I haven’t shot it enough to notice
