Anybody use a barrel/chamber cooler? I’m considering another gadget but wondering if they have any actually benefit or if it’s just a bunch of nonsense. I don’t compete so looking at this to extend longevity of the barrel life/maintain accuracy. It sounds great in theory so figure to ask if anyone here has any experience with these before I waste a couple bucks.

As long as you are not pushing pills at ridiculous velocities like the 220 Swift or a 25 Bob, you don’t have to worry much about burning out a barrel.
It does sound great in theory, but the one thing the website lacks is any data whatsoever to prove that it prolongs barrel life and/or improves accuracy. Those are both testable, with a little effort. I’d like to see test results. Or widespread adoption by the bench rest community–they’d probably be the first to know if these things actually help.
