Figured I’d drop this one in here in case anyone is interested. It showed up in email for aviation seminars. I took this one last year and it goes over rules and regulations of transporting a firearm via airplane. They go into the rules and differences between air carrier and general aviation. Registration is normally optional but here’s the link, it’s located at Flying W airport in Medford on Feb 11 at 7pm. This would have been very interesting, but since my move I’m now flying a mighty Cessna 150 (rental) around North Idaho. But I’m glad to see it’s at the Flying W! I’d heard two or three years ago that the airport had been sold and was going to be closed…very happy that didn’t happen. Got to love an airport that has an airplane-shaped swimming pool adjacent to the field.
Last I heard the airport was still under threat of closure, but a group of pilots supposedly got together to try and buy it (kind of like what they did at Sky Manor). Unfortunately the hotel (including the pool) is closed. Last I heard so was the restaurant and bar. Sometimes they also stream a webinar live when they do the live seminar so check the link and see if that option is available.
