Not much info on their website, just wondering if anyone has any experiences to share. I’ve never been skeet shooting but I was thinking about checking it out.

I think I might go check it out if for no other reason than to shoot outdoors for once. I’m up in northern bergen county and there’s nothing outdoors near me.

Their “website” is severely lacking info. Makes it seem like your only opton is to show up empty handed and shoot their guns and ammo. Depending on where you go, a round of trap costs $6-$9, so, if you bring your own gun and ammo, it should be much less than $35.00 per round.
I suppose if one does not own a shotgun, $35/rd is tolerable if willing to pay about $18 to rent one of their shotguns for 15 minutes. On the other hand, if you are a total noob, it’s not a bad deal if their instructors are attentive.
Yeah their website is horrendous. Hoping someone here has been and has some feedback, otherwise I’ll just try to check it out in the next few weeks.
Im in south part of Bergen county i definitely wish we had more outdoor options i got a hunting license to use the wma ranges but haven’t been to them yet

It’s a place to start if you don’t own a shotgun and or ammo, it’s a lot of beginners and tourists, once your familiar with shooting it’s not great unless you just want skeet.
It’s a bit of a hike for me so never been but would like to shoot skeet. Anyone know of a place closer to Middlesex county?
I used to shoot skeet at Old Bridge just before duck season. Was a looong time ago though. it was a nice place.
Wayside Skeet Club in Tinton Falls. Not sure if they are member only.

Try this place. It’s up in Sussex Co but it has all the shotgun sports.

Depending where you are, bit of a ride. I go there, Nice place, Matt is the manager, great guy. Sporting clays is more advanced. Trap a 5-stand is ok. They also have Fitasc.

Range 14 has skeet or at least they used to. I haven’t been in about 10 years

I have not been to Thunder Mountain in awhile, but I was there a lot in the past. It’s a nice, relaxed, family-owned facility. It’s great for all levels of shooter, but it’s particularly friendly for beginners. They have a practice trap, where the houses are right next to you and the clays just go straight out.
It is a bit pricey if you buy ammo from them, but comes down considerably if you provide your own.
Can’t say for sure about currently, but in the past, if you bought ammo from them, they would lend you a shotgun for no charge.
They can get busy on the weekends, but if you can make it there during the week, they are not usually very crowded. You will definitely have fun there!
