So FPC says the remand is for the lower court to rule on constitutionality of assault pistol and shotgun definitions.

“On remand, the District Court shall address the constitutionality of the Assault Firearm Provisions as to semi-automatic pistols, shotguns, and other weapons to which Plaintiffs lodge challenges.”

So it’s a remand, and not immediately effective?

I read that as the pistols, shotguns, and AOW sections of the AWB are remanded.

I believe the rifle section was directly struck down.

Still waiting for a definite “AWB and mag bans are invalid as of NOW” or “Remanded to be re-decided”. I do not advocate doing anything with firearms or magazines as of yet.

Still trying to find the actual order in the released opinion.

I believe this decision creates a circuit split on mag bans, but I’m not up on it anymore.

I believe so. I want to say 9th circuit (CA) and 7th circuit (IL) have ruled that mag bans are constitutional. Probably the first circuit (NY) too.

Semi auto rifles - bans removed
Magazine capacity - bans on >10 rounds removed
